Breard named conference hitter of the week
Washington alum and Cornell College sophomore Walker Breard earned Midwest Conference hitter-of-the-week honors for his efforts on the baseball diamond last week.

Washington alum and Cornell College sophomore Walker Breard earned Midwest Conference hitter-of-the-week honors for his efforts on the baseball diamond last week.
Breard, who plays first base for the Rams, went on a tear at the plate last week, batting .467, with a 1.200 slugging percentage in four games.
The week was highlighed by hitting three solo homers in a 4-for-4 performance in the second game of a doubleheader against Illinois College on Sunday.
Breard finished the doubleheader going 7-for-9, adding a pair of doubles to the day.
Breard has hit 16 homeruns in his 51 game history as a Ram, and this season, ranks second in the Midwest Conference in runs scored (20), RBIs (26), home runs (6) and total bases (50), to go with his .649 slugging percentage.
Cornell is currently 13-7 on the season, and also features another pair of Demons, with TJ Rausch and Jared Henry, both seniors at Cornell.
Cornell will face Wisconsin-Platteville next Wednesday at home, which has former Demon Blake Weidman on its roster.
