Bulltown Gold 10U team takes second in tournament
The Bulltown Gold 10U baseball team finished as the runner-up in the Championship game of the Small Town Iowa State Tournament Sunday, June 18. Bulltown went 5-1 over the course of two days.
Game one they defeated Mt. Vernon 16-2. Game two they defeated Grinnell 16-1.
Game three they defeated Carlisle 18-10. Game four they defeated Solon 18-3. Game five they defeated Woodbine 10-4.

The Bulltown Gold 10U baseball team finished as the runner-up in the Championship game of the Small Town Iowa State Tournament Sunday, June 18. Bulltown went 5-1 over the course of two days.
Game one they defeated Mt. Vernon 16-2. Game two they defeated Grinnell 16-1.
Game three they defeated Carlisle 18-10. Game four they defeated Solon 18-3. Game five they defeated Woodbine 10-4.
In the Championship game they fell 14-15 in extra innings to Pella.
The "Small Town State Tournament" is a nationwide tournament that numerous states annually host.
The Iowa Small Town State Tournament has been held in Grinnell for the past several years.
To participate you must be from a town of 50,000 people or fewer and a school district with a high school enrollment of 700 or fewer.
Any team that has a top three finish in their state tournament qualifies for the Small Town State World Series, which is held in Wisconsin July 13-15.
Top finishers from several states and Canada participate in this World Series.
Bulltown is a USSSA baseball team made up of kids from the Mid-Prairie Elementary School, who are 10 years old or younger.
