Washington?s Thomas Bump officially signed with Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo. on Wednesday afternoon, looking to catch on as a linebacker for the Griffons.
Bump was a key part of a ferocious Demon defense in 2014, leading the team with 71 tackles and 14 tackles for a loss and four sacks.
Bump also led the team with five fumble recovories, returning two of them for touchdowns on the year, as well as picking off one pass for the Demons.
Offensively, Bump led the Demons in receptions and receiving yards last season as a tight end.
?It?s a really, really good program,? Bump said. ?I like the coaches there and their facilities are top-notch. It?s a great opportunity and I knew I should take it.?
Missouri Western has finished with at least seven wins each season since 2009, including a high of 12 wins in 2012.
