Upon qualifying for state this season, a number of strong individual performances helped lead the way.
Mid-Prairie?s girls? basketball team took part in its state quarterfinal on Tuesday afternoon, but it was announced that three Hawks earned recognition on the River Valley Conference teams.
Senior Alex Rath earned a spot on the All-RVC South Division team, after posting a strong senior campaign that pushed the Hawks to Wells Fargo Arena this season.
Rath averaged 10 points per game this season, to go with 4.8 rebounds per game, but her biggest value came as a floor manager for the Hawks.
Rath averaged three assists per game for Mid-Prairie, while recording 57 total steals.
The senior recorded a season-high 24 points in a regional semifinal game against Central Lee, a game that also saw her dish out six assists and grab seven rebounds, all team-highs.
Joining Rath on the All-RVC South Division team was junior Ali Butters.
Butters led the team in scoring average this season, notching 12.1 points per game, to go with her 3.6 rebounds per game and two steals per game.
Butters recorded a season-high 22 points this season against Northeast.
Sophomore Addison Rath was given the nod as an honorable mention selection for the Hawks this year, after posting a season that saw her record 11.8 points and a team-high 4.9 rebounds per game.
Addison also picked up 18 blocks on the year, to go with 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
