Cardinal bows out with loss to West Burlington
The Comets end their season with District 12 semifinal loss to the Falcons
ELDON — The Cardinal Comets boys basketball team had its postseason run ended early on Thursday night in a 62-57 loss to West Burlington.
Cardinal defeated West Burlington by nearly 20 points in both of the two previous meetings this season, but it was the Falcons who got the last laugh.
In a game that could have gone either way, it was the Falcons that got their hands on the ball last and they didn’t miss a beat.
The Comets end their 2022 campaign with a 15-8 record.
