Cardinal girls step onto the track
BLOOMFIELD ? The Cardinal girls? track and field team opened up its season and Jenna Courtney burst out of the gates in a big way for the Comets.
Courtney placed in all four events she ran on the track including her top finish of third-place in the 100-meter hurdles (18.51). The junior also posted sixth-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (14.47) and 400-meter hurdles (1:25) and led off the 4x100-relay team, joined

BLOOMFIELD ? The Cardinal girls? track and field team opened up its season and Jenna Courtney burst out of the gates in a big way for the Comets.
Courtney placed in all four events she ran on the track including her top finish of third-place in the 100-meter hurdles (18.51). The junior also posted sixth-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (14.47) and 400-meter hurdles (1:25) and led off the 4x100-relay team, joined by Chelsea Greiner, Andrea Kayser and Liz Nichols that took third place in 5:00.
The 1600 Medley-relay team of Greiner, Kayser, Nichols and Lindsay Albert posted the top finish of the evening for Cardinal with a second-place time of 5:06. The 4x400 wrapped up the night with a third-place result and a time of 5:00.
The Comets scored 29 points and finished in sixth-place out of seven teams in the final team standings.
