West Branch (5-2, 4-1 District 6) will be looking for its fifth straight win while the Comets just hope to end their five-game slide.
The run-heavy Bears are third in the district in rushing yards with 1,920, which is bad news for a Comets? squad that has had trouble stopping the run all season.Cardinal (1-6, 0-5), meanwhile, features a pass-heavy offense that is dead last in the district in total offensive yards with 1,273.
Cardinal?s Dakota Showman has taken over quarterbacking duties midway through the season and has gone 19-of-41 for 348 yards passing with two touchdowns. Drew Ostrander leads all Comets rushers with 348 yards and will be running up against a West Branch defense that is known for stopping the run.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Eldon.
