The Comets put up five runs in the first two innings and never trailed again, tacking on another run in the third before ending the contest with an eight-run fifth frame.
Logan Thorne knocked in four runs on a double and triple to lead the Comets. Austin Deshler was 2 for 4 with two RBI, Showman had two base knocks and Tanner Chance launched a two-run homer.
After giving up four earned runs the first two innings, starter Conner McElderry settled down to retire 10 of the last 11 batters faced. McElderry fanned six in the complete-game win.
The 12-8 Comets host Holy Trinity Friday.
