Cardinal softball beats Pella 7-4 over weekend
OSKALOOSA ? Delaney Ridgway recorded four hits Saturday, including one home run and a triple, to lead the Cardinal softball team to a 1-1 record at the Oskaloosa Invitational.
Ridgway went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in the Comets? 7-4 win over Pella, and the freshman was 2-for-4 with a homer in her team?s 7-5 loss to Newton.

Ridgway went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in the Comets? 7-4 win over Pella, and the freshman was 2-for-4 with a homer in her team?s 7-5 loss to Newton.
Also for Cardinal, Carlie Bennett was 2-for-4 with a double, and Lindsay Moore legged out a double vs. Pella. Lexi Fullenkamp logged all seven innings from the mound to pick up the win.
In the two-run loss, Bennett was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, and teammate Morgan Honomichl had a double. Ridgway struck out five and allowed one earned run while pitching the complete game.
