Cardinal takes on Year 2 in SCC

The Cardinal Comets enter their second year as members of the South Central Conference when fall sports kick off in 2023.

Last season, the volleyball team struggled to get SCC wins, going 3-22 overall and 1-10 in league play.

Cardinal does have a lot of returning talent, including leading killer Brenna Guiter, who had 143 kills last season. Leading defender Brinlee Ostrander returns after collecting 207 digs in 2022.

The girls’ cross-country team did finish Top-5 in the SCC meet, beating one team.

On the football field, Cardinal looks to improve on an 0-9 campaign last season. The Comets can return their top two rushers, as Craig Miller went for 377 yards and a touchdown last year, and Bradly Snook ran for 151 yards and two scores.
