Cardinal, Van Buren boys compete at meet in WACO
The Cardinal and Van Buren boys? track teams made the trip to Wayland Tuesday for the Warriors Relays at WACO High School.
Van Buren finished in sixth place, while Cardinal earned seventh. The field consisted of 11 teams that included West Burlington Notre Dame, Highland, Lone Tree, Winfield-Mount Union and Keokuk.

The Cardinal and Van Buren boys? track teams made the trip to Wayland Tuesday for the Warriors Relays at WACO High School.
Van Buren finished in sixth place, while Cardinal earned seventh. The field consisted of 11 teams that included West Burlington Notre Dame, Highland, Lone Tree, Winfield-Mount Union and Keokuk.
The Van Buren 4x800 relay team finished in first place with the time of 8:51.29. Gavin Heald earned third place in the high jump with a jump of 5-10.00. Garrett Saunders and Jesse Fuller finished third and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles. The Warriors also earned second place in the 1600 sprint medley relay.
Cardinal?s Conner McElderry grabbed third place in the shot put, and his teammate Josh Ramos got third in the discus.
Charlie Rachford earned third in the 200-meter dash with the time of 23.90. The Comets were able to nail down third place in the 4x110-meter shuttle hurdle relay also.
