Carrasco, Sutter named All-SEC

The Southeast Conference released its All-Conference volleyball list this week, and two Panthers were honored on the teams.

Mt. Pleasant senior hitter Sadie Carrasco was named to the All-SEC second team. Sophomore hitter Avery Sutter was named to the honorable mention list.

Carrasco led the Panthers in kills this season, netting 104 throughout the year. She also had 17 service aces, which was second on the team to junior Maggie Cristoforo. Carrasco also finished the year with 46 total blocks, which was third on the team.

Sutter had 77 kills this season for third best on the squad. She had a fantastic year on defense, finishing the season with 112 blocks, 70 of them being solo blocks. Sutter's 112 blocks led the conference by 57. Fairfield's Alison Godwin was second in the SEC with 65 blocks.

The Panthers also had 14 players listed on the All-Academic list. That list is made up of upperclassmen who excel in the classroom.
