Carrick inducted into IWCOA Hall of Fame

Chauncy Carrick, a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, was given one of the highest honors for an Illinois wrestling coach this year. The Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association inducted Carrick into their Hall of Fame.
Carrick began coaching in Macomb, Ill., where he coached for one year before becoming an assistant at Sycamore High School. He became their head coach in 1997, and has a 180-95 record over 13 years.
In his 13 years, Sycamore had seven placewinners at state, had 32 qualifiers and won their conference four times.
Carrick is also involved in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman programs in the state of Illinois, where Team Illinois has had numerous teams and individual National Champions.
