Central Lee boys roll through New London
DONNELLSON ? The New London boys? basketball team managed only eight points in the first half as Central Lee rolled to a 75-30 victory over the Tigers.
The Hawks put up 23 points in the first quarter and added 32 in the second quarter to gain a 55-8 lead at halftime.
They slowed down in the second half, scoring 12 points in the third quarter and adding eight in the final eight minutes.

The Hawks put up 23 points in the first quarter and added 32 in the second quarter to gain a 55-8 lead at halftime.
They slowed down in the second half, scoring 12 points in the third quarter and adding eight in the final eight minutes.
New London scored nine in the third quarter and posted 13 points in the final quarter.
As a team, the Tigers shot 26 percent from the floor against the Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division?s second-place Hawks. New London was five-for-10 in free throw shooting, and the Tigers gave up 21 turnovers on the night.
Justin Hill scored eight points in the loss. Cameron Watson added six points and Shawn Strothman chipped in four.
Watson was the team?s top rebounder with four boards. Strothman and Hill each grabbed two.
Hill dished two assists, while Tristan Kadel, Matayo Christianer and Watson each had one steal.
The Tigers are now 1-19 with one game remaining on the regular-season schedule: Friday night?s SEISC 10th-place shootout game, in which the Tigers will host Columbus.
Postseason play begins for New London on Feb.13, when the Tigers travel to West Burlington for their first-round district game.
