Cheer camp announced
An upcoming cheer camp presented by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will teach elementary children Fairfield High School cheerleading cheers and moves.
Sessions run from 4-4:45 p.m. Sept. 6 and run five weeks, with a choice between Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children in first through fifth grade may sign up. Classes will be held in the Roosevelt Recreation Center aerobics room.

An upcoming cheer camp presented by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will teach elementary children Fairfield High School cheerleading cheers and moves.
Sessions run from 4-4:45 p.m. Sept. 6 and run five weeks, with a choice between Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children in first through fifth grade may sign up. Classes will be held in the Roosevelt Recreation Center aerobics room.
Taught by Emily Slechta, classes are designed to teach students team spirit, cheers, jumps, stunts, tumbling, motions and more.
Participants will have the opportunity to cheer at a Fairfield High School football game Oct. 10 at halftime.
The cost to participate is $25.
Registration may be completed online at www.fairfieldparksandrec.com. Registration also may be completed in person at the Roosevelt center or by calling 472-6159. A $10 late fee is applied to those registering after Sept. 8.
