Chiefs rally past Demon JV girls
Washington held an 11-point lead heading into the fourth quarter of Friday?s junior varsity girls? basketball game at Keokuk, but the Chiefs rallied for a 52-49 win.
?It was a disappointing loss,? Washington head coach Jay Zieglowsky said. ?We led the whole game.?
Keokuk outscored Washington 25-12 in the final quarter, with freshman Paige Kayvan scoring 14 points for the Chiefs in the period.

Sophomores Dylann Schluetter and Macy Marek scored 12 points apiece to lead the Demons (3-5). Schluetter also had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in the game, and Marek had a pair of steals. Junior Grace Redlinger added 11 points and five steals, and junior Dema Giardino had six points and two thefts. Sophomore Elle Van Gundy scored three points, and junior Addie Shive had three points, six rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Sydney Hoffman had one point to go with three rebounds and two steals, and sophomore Addison Gaal pulled in three rebounds.
