Sigourney-Keota boys first, girls second in Ottumwa

OTTUMWA — Sigourney-Keota and Washington joined Davis County and West Burlington-Notre Dame for a bowling quadrangular on Wednesday night. The Cobras fared best, taking two Top-two placements.
Sigourney-Keota won the boys’ competition, rolling 2,814 to beat out second-place Davis County, which bowled a 2,683. Washington was third, at 2,298, and WB-ND finished at 2,041 for fourth.
On the girls’ side, Davis County won the meet, scoring 2,498. Sigourney-Keota was second, at 2,236. West Burlington-Notre Dame finished third, with a 1,896, and Washington rolled 846 for fourth.
Sigourney-Keota was led on the boys’ side by Owen Clark, who bowled a 447. Wells Clark finished at 411. Landyn Greiner rolled a 383. Aiden Greiner finished at 351. Liam VanVoltenburg rolled a 312, and Caden Meyer finished at 279.
The Cobra girls were led by Sophia Young, who finished at 349. Jayden Montgomery shot 342. Kaylie Montgomery finished at 341. Addison Richardson rolled a 301. Calli McCoid finished at 192, and Gracie Gilam rolled a 174.
For both the Cobras and the Demons, Wednesday night’s quad marked the end of the 2024 schedule. Both teams will pick back up after the calendar turns to 2025.
