Coffin, Hoyle take first in bowling competition
OTTUMWA ? Several Fairfield residents participated in the Southeast District of Special Olympics Bowling at Champion Lanes in Ottumwa on Saturday.
Macayla Coffin and Ed Hoyle won blue ribbons with first-place finishes. Both will advance to the state competition to be held in November in Des Moines.

OTTUMWA ? Several Fairfield residents participated in the Southeast District of Special Olympics Bowling at Champion Lanes in Ottumwa on Saturday.
Macayla Coffin and Ed Hoyle won blue ribbons with first-place finishes. Both will advance to the state competition to be held in November in Des Moines.
Fairfield residents who took home second-place ribbons were Brenda Alderman, Dale Noe and Joe Blain. In addition, Fabien Tourenne, Jerry Bissig and Ronnie Withrow all placed fifth in the bowling event.
The athletes are coached by Deb Jaquez and Brian Simmons, with assistance from Ryan Hill, Lorraine Hill and Kaley Stanley.
