Columbus closes out season with a win
Columbus finished its season on a high note, defeating visiting Camanche 22-7 on Friday night.
Junior Mark Ramirez rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats (3-6), and senior Esteban Gutierrez added 132 yards on the ground. Senior quarterback Derek Paetz rushed for a touchdown and also threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to junior Ricky Rivers.

Junior Mark Ramirez rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats (3-6), and senior Esteban Gutierrez added 132 yards on the ground. Senior quarterback Derek Paetz rushed for a touchdown and also threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to junior Ricky Rivers.
Ramirez and Zack Gaddy made eight tackles apiece to lead the Wildcat defense, which limited the Indians (2-7) to just 131 total yards. Sophomore Chase Finke also intercepted a pass.
