Columbus falls to Highland volleyball
RIVERSIDE — Thursday saw quite a battle between Huskies and Wildcats, considering it was a Highland sweep in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division.
Highland edged the visitors 26-24, 25-22, 25-19 to even its North record at 3-3 and improve to 9-8 overall. Columbus is 3-17, 1-5.
Sera Vela had 12 assists and five kills in the loss. Victoria Howell led with seven kills while Lily Coil had four kills, nine digs and two blocks. Isabelle Lagunas dug up 15 balls while Vela and Aracely Garza had four apiece.
