The visiting Comets led 30-25 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats outscored West Liberty 21-12 in the final frame.
Senior Megan Pretz had a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead Columbus (7-7), which won for the second time in as many nights. Sophomore Kelsey Pretz added 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Sophomore Kayla Kaalberg scored 13 points to lead the Comets (6-8), and sophomore Molly Kelly added 10.
