Columbus sweeps Lone Tree

Senior Megan Pretz spiked down 12 kills to lead Columbus to a three-set victory over visiting Lone Tree in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night. The Wildcats swept the Lions by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 26-24.

Senior Christine Milder added six kills for the Wildcats (3-8, 2-2 SEISC North), and sophomore Kelsey Pretz had five kills to go with 10 assists. Junior Brooklyn Milder chipped in eight assists. Senior Shanye Van Auken, junior Coree Winters and freshman Laura Mincks each served three aces in the match. Megan Pretz had a team-high eight digs on the night, and junior Heidi Duttlinger added seven.

The Columbus junior varsity volleyball team swept Lone Tree by scores of 21-18 and 21-16, and the Wildcat fresh/soph team swept the Lions by scores of 21-15 and 21-10.
