BLOOMFIELD ? Riding yet another dominant pitching performance from freshman Delaney Ridgway, the Cardinal softball team claimed its second shutout win in a row Wednesday.
Ridgway tossed a three-hitter over seven innings to help her Comets edge Davis County 1-0 in non-conference action in Bloomfield. Ridgway struck out five batters and walked none to pick up her third win of the season.

BLOOMFIELD ? Riding yet another dominant pitching performance from freshman Delaney Ridgway, the Cardinal softball team claimed its second shutout win in a row Wednesday.
Ridgway tossed a three-hitter over seven innings to help her Comets edge Davis County 1-0 in non-conference action in Bloomfield. Ridgway struck out five batters and walked none to pick up her third win of the season.
Behind Ridgway, the Comets also claimed a 1-0 victory over Van Buren last Thursday.
Lindsey Davis, a freshman, and Ridgway had one hit apiece in Wednesday?s game. Alexis Adam scored the eventual game-winning run on a passed ball in the fourth inning for the Comets (3-2), who head to third-ranked West Burlington for a conference matchup today.
