The Comets? 11-hit offense was paced by Brandon Eklofe, who went 2 for 4 with a double, as well as Ty Short?s two singles and Brandon McElderry?s three RBI.
Short pitched the seven-inning complete game to earn the win. The senior went through the first six innings allowing one run before West Burlington tacked on two more in the bottom of the seventh. The senior allowed six hits and five walks while punching out nine.

Comets win Tuesday
ELDON ? The Comets celebrated Senior Night in Eldon Tuesday with their fifth straight victory, an 8-6 win over Burlington Notre Dame.
Led by two-hit days from seniors Sam Schlegel and Tanner Chance, Cardinal scored in every inning but the second and grabbed a 7-2 advantage after five frames. Chance also earned the win, pitching four innings and giving up two runs with four strikeouts.
Conner McElderry added to the 10-hit offense with a double and RBI, while Austin Deshler, Logan Thorne and Charlie Rachford all knocked in one run apiece.
Dakota Showman allowed four runs ? three earned ? over the final three innings in relief of Chance. Showman fanned three batters.
The Comets (15-8, 11-3 SEISC south) play at Twin Cedars today.
