Comets continue tear, take care of Holy Trinity
ELDON ? Riding a nine-game win streak, Cardinal put themselves on top once more Tuesday night with a 12-3 triumph over Holy Trinity.
Comet starter AJ McElderry earned the win pitching five strong inning that featured 11 strikeouts, three hits and two earned runs. Coty Ridgway came in for the final two innings striking out three batters and not giving up another run.

ELDON ? Riding a nine-game win streak, Cardinal put themselves on top once more Tuesday night with a 12-3 triumph over Holy Trinity.
Comet starter AJ McElderry earned the win pitching five strong inning that featured 11 strikeouts, three hits and two earned runs. Coty Ridgway came in for the final two innings striking out three batters and not giving up another run.
Tanner Thorne led the charge offensively going 3-4 with three RBIs followed by Ridgway?s 2-3, two RBI and three runs scored performance. Mitch Bloomquist, Jake Scherer and Connor Schlegel also had multi-hit games for Cardinal.
With a 9-2 record in SEISC south division play, the Comets find themselves in a tie for second place with New London and will put that record on the line Friday night as they host Burlington-Notre Dame.
