Comets swept at home

ELDON - Cardinal welcomed in a red-hot Central Lee team for a Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division game on Thursday. Central Lee continued to play well, sweeping the Comets just five days after taking second at the conference tournament. The Hawks won 25-15, 25-9 and 25-16.
The Comets were only able to tally 10 total kills in the three sets. Cameron Younker, Riley Bears, Sydney Pickrell and Kiya Chapin coled the team with two kills each.
Olivia Pilcher paced the Comets with four assists on the night. Younker had three blocks, and Elizabeth Lett had 13 digs.
Cardinal is now 7-10 overall and 0-5 in the South Division. They will travel to Danville tonight in search of their first division win.
