CEDAR FALLS — The 2025 boys state golf tournaments took place in Cedar Falls and Waterloo on Tuesday and Wednesday. As of press time, play has not fully wrapped up at either site.
In Cedar Falls, Washington’s Drew Conrad has finished out his two rounds of golf. Conrad was two over par on Day 1, and finished at eight over par total on Day 2.
Conrad’s score had him at 25th place as of press time, but other scores were not fully in.
In Waterloo, Hillcrest Academy battled as a team in the Class 1A state golf championship. Senior Liam Schrock ended Day 1 at three over, but went one under on Day 2 to put himself into individual title contention. Junior Rowan Miller also finished up his two rounds, going four over on Day 1 and five over on Day 2, putting him at nine over.
While Schrock and Miller should both finish in the Top-10, the final individual results for every golfer were not quite in. The Union can project a Top-5 finish for the team as a whole, as the Ravens shot 92 over, better than any team other than the four still out on the golf course as of press time.
The Union will have full results, and pictures, in Monday’s edition.
