At Mt. Mercy, an NAIA school in Cedar Rapids, Conrad plans to major in multimedia design and graphic design.
?(Mt. Mercy) fit pretty much with my goal, with what I want to do,? Conrad said. ?Ever since I was in middle school, I?ve been making videos.?
He?s loved basketball even longer.
?I?ve pretty much loved basketball forever,? he said. ?I?ve done a lot of AAU, and I think (basketball) is the best opportunity for me. The competition will make me better; I will have to push myself even harder to compete with those guys.?
Conrad has been to visit the school a couple times and has played in open gym with his future teammates. The Mustangs went 27-6 last year under Head Coach Paul Gavin.
