Danville/New London rally falls short against Columbus
A second half rally by the Danville/New London boys' soccer team fell short on Monday, April 11, as Columbus was able to hold on for a 3-2 win.

A second half rally by the Danville/New London boys' soccer team fell short on Monday, April 11, as Columbus was able to hold on for a 3-2 win.
Danville/New London (2-3) trailed 3-0 at halftime but goals from Niall Williams and CJ Williams in the second half put the Bears back in the game.
Wynston Gray had two shots on goal and one assist for the Bears, while Austin Felland and Trevor Heckenberg each had one shot on goal. Niall Williams also recorded an assist in the loss.
"The first half we got beat, hands down. The second half they really came together and played very well ? they came out strong and showed what they could do," said coach Bob Roark. "We just didn't have time on our legs. A lot of our guys are playing hurt [but] none the less, they showed heart."
Danville/New London travels to Highland on Thursday, April 14. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
