Decorah wins Class 3A football title
CEDAR FALLS (AP) ? Josey Jewell led Decorah?s power running game with 160 yards and three touchdowns and the Vikings beat Sioux City Heelan 49-21 Thursday night to win the Class 3A state championship.
Holt Johansen added two touchdowns for Decorah, while Jacob Kvale scored one and passed for one as the Vikings (14-0) won their first state title since 1989 and their fifth overall.

Holt Johansen added two touchdowns for Decorah, while Jacob Kvale scored one and passed for one as the Vikings (14-0) won their first state title since 1989 and their fifth overall.
Heelan (12-2), which has won three titles, lost in the championship game for the eighth time.
Jewell, a 6-foot-2, 207-pound senior, carried 23 times, broke numerous tackles and rarely went down the first time he was hit.
