Dedication

Assistant Executive Director of the Iowa High School Athletic Association Alan Beste, right, addresses Laurie and Lawrence Eyre during the Eyre Tennis Center dedication ceremony Wednesday at the Maharishi University of Management rec center. The two longtime Maharishi School tennis coaches were honored with the naming of the indoor tennis facility following 25 years of coaching excellence. Lawrence, who recently retired from coaching after leading the Pioneers to fourth place in Class 1A tennis this season, was inducted into the Iowa Hall of Fame in 2009. Guest speakers Wednesday included Beste, former members of the school?s tennis teams, appreciative parents, Mayor Ed Malloy and administrators from MSAE and M.U.M.
