The Washington seventh-grade girls basketball A teams was host to Edward Stone Middle School from Burlington Monday, Jan. 30.
In the game, Edward Stone took the lead after the first quarter going up 10-6. Washington would score four in the second quarter to Edward Stone?s 10 to trail 10-20.
After the break, Edward Stone scored an additional 13 points to Washington?s nine and in the fourth quarter, both teams put up 11 points each, ending the game at 30-44 in the visiting team?s favor.
Kelsey Pacha led the team in scoring with 12 points. She had eight rebounds, two steals and one foul as well. Greta Rothe scored eight points, had one steal and four fouls.
Rylee Fishback scored four points, had three rebounds, one steal and five fouls. Grace Schiebel had two points in the game along with five rebounds, one steal and two fouls.
Ava Turner had three points and six rebounds. Ella Leyden scored one point, had two rebounds, one steal and one foul.
Elyse Hunt had four rebounds and two fouls in the game. Emma Zahs had three rebounds. Sami Smith had two rebounds.
Kyleigh Dolan had one rebound and two fouls and Jenna Messer had one rebound in the game.
The girls play at Fort Madison today, Feb. 2, with game time set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
