Demon 7th-grade girls basketball teams lose to Keokuk Thursday
The Washington seventh-grade girls basketball teams were host to Keokuk Thursday, Jan. 26, where both teams lost to their guests.
The A team would be held scoreless the entire first quarter while Keokuk scored 10 points. Washington added nine in the second quarter while Keokuk put up another 15 points to have a 25-9 lead at the halfway mark.

The Washington seventh-grade girls basketball teams were host to Keokuk Thursday, Jan. 26, where both teams lost to their guests.
The A team would be held scoreless the entire first quarter while Keokuk scored 10 points. Washington added nine in the second quarter while Keokuk put up another 15 points to have a 25-9 lead at the halfway mark.
In the third quarter, Keokuk scored 10 points while Washington added seven to the scoreboard.
The Demons added eight more points in the fourth quarter and Keokuk put up six more to get the 41-24 win.
Kelsey Pacha had her second double-double after scoring 13 points and having 10 rebounds. She also had two steals and two fouls in the game.
Gretta Rothe scored four points, had one steal and one foul. Ava Turner had three points, nine rebounds, one steal and two fouls.
Chloe Staley had two points, four rebounds and two fouls. Rylee Fishback had two points, three rebounds, one steal and one foul.
Both Ella Leyden and Elyse Hunt had one rebound, one steal and one foul. Grace Schiebel had two rebounds.
Jenna Messer had two fouls and Kyleigh Dolan had one rebound and two fouls in the game.

In the B game, Washington was outscored 6-1 by Keokuk in the first quarter. Washington would only get two more points in the second quarter and Keokuk added seven more to have a 13-3 lead at halftime.
Washington final two points in the game came in the third quarter while Keokuk scored four more in the third and an additional six in the fourth to get the 23-5 win.
Danica Brown scored two points, had two rebounds, one steal and one foul in the game. Ausha Clark scored two points and had one rebound. Elyse Hunt had one point and one foul.
Brianna Williams had one rebound and one steal. Ella Leyden had two steals and one foul.
Hailey Flynn and Lindsey Lillie both had one rebound and one foul. Jenna Messer had two rebounds and one steal and Rikaya Dickerson had one steal in the game.
