Demon archers compete at state

DES MOINES — The Washington archery teams competed at the 2023-24 state meet in Des Moines last weekend. The Demon archers had a handful of athletes move on to the national shoot in May.

The High School Bullseye Team placed 9th with a season high score of 3315. The 3D team placed 16th. Emma Helfrich earned 2nd place with a personal best score of 290. Helfrich has the opportunity to shoot at Nationals in May.

The Middle School Bullseye Team placed 11th with a score of 3197. The 3D team placed 8th. Zach Hotchkiss earned 5th place with a score of 285. Hotchkiss has the opportunity to shoot at Nationals in May.

The Elementary School Bullseye Team placed 6th with a score of 2861. Addyson Neer earned 6th place in 3D shooting her personal best of 255. Near has the opportunity to shoot at Nationals in May.
