WASHINGTON — The Washington bowling teams finished fifth out of five in the Southeast Conference bowling meet last season, but those scores may not be the whole story.
On the girls’ side, Washington didn’t have a full team to fairly compete in the standings. On the boys’ side, the Demons finished just over 100 points back of fourth, and just over 200 back of fifth.
Washington had two All-SEC bowlers last year, and both are due back this winter. Mitchell Zieglowsky, who finished ninth last year in the SEC meet enters his sophomore year, while the Demons also return junior Kelton Burke, who took 11th.
Washington’s only girl on the roster last season was Emma Loeffler, who is now graduated.
Washington will have no home events this year, playing every meet on the road.
