Demon boys fall in Pella
Dynamic Dutch offense too much for Washington basketball team
PELLA — The Washington boys basketball team didn’t have an easy time in Pella on Tuesday night.
The Demons traveled to play the Dutch on Pella’s home court for a non-conference road game. Pella was on fire in the first half and pulled past Washington 90-36.
The Dutch scored 28 points in the first quarter and 26 in the second. Washington trailed 28-7 after the first buzzer and 54-14 at halftime.
Washington’s best offensive quarter was in the third quarter. The Demons scored 14 points, but Pella hit the 20-point mark for the third-straight period.
The Demons fell to 1-3 on the season. Washington will take its 0-1 Southeast Conference mark into Fairfield (1-3, 0-1) on Friday night.
