Demon boys golf takes third in Wellman
Roth’s 77 leads Washington; Mid-Prairie takes 7th, Highland 10th

WELLMAN — It was a good day for Washington on Tuesday at Mid-Prairie’s home tournament in Wellman. The Demons finished second to runaway champion West Branch, beating eight other teams in the process.
Washington shot a 372 for second place. Mid-Prairie finished seventh, with a 392. Highland shot 425, for 10th.
Washington’s Roman Roth shot a 77 to tie for 2nd place on the day. The next Demon down the list was Teague Mayer, who finished out at 97. Luke Beenblossom finished at 98.
John Prochaska was the fourth Demon scorer, putting up a 100. Isaac Vetter shot a 101. Grant Sobaski ended the day at 105.
Mid-Prairie’s top golfer was Warren Scarff, who finished 10th overall with an 87. Drew Schlabaugh finished at 95. Ben Mattes ended at 98. Ian Schmidt shot a 111. Carson Pence finished at 123.
Highland was led by Chase Schultz, who finished the day at 96. Trevor McFarland ended at 24. Peyton Yeggy shot 37, and Luke Miller finished at 47.
