Demon boys knock off Mediapolis
Things were going right for the Washington boys? soccer team on Monday afternoon.
The Demons were looking to end an early-season skid at two games against Mediapolis, and with a balanced attack, earned a big victory.

Things were going right for the Washington boys? soccer team on Monday afternoon.
The Demons were looking to end an early-season skid at two games against Mediapolis, and with a balanced attack, earned a big victory.
Six different athletes knocked in goals, as the Demons defeated the Bulldogs 7-2 to move to 2-3 on the season.
Freshman Caleb Suchan hit in two goals for the Demons, giving him three for his young varsity career, while on the defensive side, sophomore Thomas Zimmer earned the victory in net, making six saves in the win.
Junior John Dillon was credited with a goal and an assist off two shots in the win, while senior Giovanni Coronel, and sophomores Julio Salgado Hernandez, Abdullah Talal and Tony Torres each recorded goals on the day.
Freshman Logan Escher earned an assist for the Demons in the win, as Washington peppered the net with 12 shots on goal.
The Demons will look to earn their first conference win when they take on Fort Madison, who is receiving votes in the latest Class 2A poll, at home on Thursday evening.
It will be a girls?-boys? doubleheader at Washington High School on Thursday, with the girls? game kicking off at 4 p.m.
