Demon boys send athletes to WMU
The Washington boys? track team took a handful of athletes to a meet hosted by Winfield-Mt. Union on Thursday afternoon, looking to get some work in before the Drake Relays cutoff times.
Washington saw Jose Tapia post a strong time in the 100-meter dash, running an 11.61 to finish seventh in the event.

The Washington boys? track team took a handful of athletes to a meet hosted by Winfield-Mt. Union on Thursday afternoon, looking to get some work in before the Drake Relays cutoff times.
Washington saw Jose Tapia post a strong time in the 100-meter dash, running an 11.61 to finish seventh in the event.
Junior Caleb Bex ran in the 110-meter hurdles at the meet, posting a time of 16.21, good for fourth, while sophomore Brennan Horak took fifth in the 3200 with an 11:09.26.
Washington also sent its 4x100-realy team of Ethan Hansen, Bryce Rickey, Jack Giardino and Tapia, who ran a 45.43 at the meet, good for third overall.
?I?m proud of their effort in going over to get that last chance (for Drake) in,? Washington boys? track head coach Steve Roth said. ?They gave a good effort. We went over there and got better.?
