Demon eighth-graders drop season opener
A cold shooting night doomed the Washington eighth-grade girls? basketball team in its season-opening 51-10 loss at Fairfield on Tuesday night.
The Demons went 2-for-18 from the field and 6-for-14 from the free-throw line in the loss.

A cold shooting night doomed the Washington eighth-grade girls? basketball team in its season-opening 51-10 loss at Fairfield on Tuesday night.
The Demons went 2-for-18 from the field and 6-for-14 from the free-throw line in the loss.
Lexi Redlinger made both of Washington?s field goals in the game and led the Demons with four points. Jessie Buchholz, Alexi Evans and Bella Giardino each made a pair of free throws in the contest. Redlinger had a team-high four rebounds, and Giardino added three. Buchholz, Evans and Brenna Weidman each pulled down a pair of rebounds. Redlinger had three steals, and Evans had two.
The Washington eighth-grade girls? basketball team now has a week off before hosting Edward Stone at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.
