Washington can’t get by Keokuk in Southeast Conference bout

WASHINGTON — Friday night was just not Washington’s night on the court in its matchup with Keokuk, as it fell 51-39.
The Demons gave it all they had in the Southeast Conference battle despite the loss.
Washington trailed Keokuk just five points after one quarter 11-6. The deficit remained five, 24-19, at halftime after the two teams scored 13 a piece through the second.
The Demons had a shot to take the lead after making it a one point game in the third, but Keokuk erupted for a 19-4 run to take firm control.
Through the second half, Keokuk outscored Washington 27-20.
Oaklee Sobaski led Washington with 11 points. Adalyn Long followed with 10 points.
The Demons drop to 1-3 with the loss and 0-1 in SEC play.
