Demon girls golf takes Fairfield meet
Washington finishes with four of top five scores in meet

FAIRFIELD — The Southeast Conference girls golf season continues to truck along.
On Thursday, April 6, the three Union area school were at it again this time in Fairfield.
Washington picked up yet another team win with a final score of 165. Fairfield finished third with 203 points. Mt. Pleasant did not post a team score due to only having three golfers.
Keokuk finished second after posting 201 points. Burlington was fourth at 214 and Fort Madison fifth with 265.
Washington’s Makenna Conrad was once again the runner-up in the meet. Conrad shot a 39 for second overall.
Burlington’s Lauren Briggs took medalist honors after shooting a 38.
The Demon’s Kaylin Long followed one stroke behind with a 40. Mallary Johnson carded a 42, Adalyn Long finished with 44, Maci Williams ended with 52 and Haley Mitchell shot a 53.
Washington shot four of the top five scores in the competition.
For Fairifeld, Viola Welsh was the highest finisher. Welsh shot a 49 for sixth.
Sara Kretz ended with a 50. Macy Rayburn scored a 51. Myah Twohill and Maggie Rayburn each totaled 53. Kate Pettit shot a 58.
For Mt. Pleasant, Kylie Walderbach tallied her best score of the season, tying for sixth with a 49.
Ashlynn Beauchamp shot a 64 in the meet and Elaina Holtkamp finished with a 67.
