Demon girls soccer moving on
Washington battles past Central Lee in regional opener
DONNELLSON — The Washington girls soccer team opened the postseason with a thrilling win on Wednesday. The Demons upended Central Lee 3-2 to move on to the regional semifinals.
The Demons led 2-1 at halftime. Both teams scored once in the second half.
Washington will play at Solon in the Class 1A Region 7 semifinals on Tuesday. The Spartans upended Mid-Prairie in another quarterfinal.
