OSKALOOSA — The Union area Southeast Conference boys golf teams were back on the course on Tuesday at the Oskaloosa Invite.
As the season continues to dwindle down, Washington, Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant keep putting up some impressive scores.
Washington has done a great deal of winning this season in the SEC.
On Tuesday, the Demons just missed the top spot and had to settle for second with a team total of 306.
Norwalk took the team title with a team low of 287.
Fairfield finished the invitational with a ninth-place finish after shooting a combined 342 in the meet.
Mt. Pleasant followed with a score of 357. That gave the Panthers a 12th place finish in the competition.
Much like the team totals, the Demon’s narrowly missed out on the individual medalist honor as Roman Roth finished as the meet’s runner-up with a 71.
Norwalks Cael Sherwood was the medalist with a low of 66.
Also for Washington, Rajan Roth finished fourth with a 73 after 18 holes. Drew Conrad finished the meet with a 76, good enough for ninth.
Luke Beenblossom and Teague Mayer both carded 86s. Isaac Vetter shot a 92.
Fairfield was led by Max Weaton. Weaton ended his day with a 78, which put him in 10th.
Dave Eisner, Sam Weaton, Austin Lisk and Archer Krueter all finished with 88s. Landon Nodurft posted a 93 as well.
For Mt. Pleasant, Nick Matheney kept pace with a 82 overall.
Reece Coffman finished with a 84. Nate Dismang ended with a 86.
Izaac Zihlman shot a 105, Ben Meador carded a 111 and Grant Willham had a 121.
In the area boys’ next meet, Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant will head over to Moravia for the Moravia Invite.
Washington will return on Monday, May 1 with its own Washington Meet at Blue Top.
