Demon golf victorious in Fairfield
Fairfield finishes second, Mt. Pleasant third in SEC meet

FAIRFIELD — The Southeast Conference boys’ golf teams were in Fairfield on Monday afternoon competing in the first SEC meet of the season.
Washington, Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant, Fort Madison and Keokuk all took part.
On the team side of things, Washington took the victory with a low of 145. Fairfield followed in second with a 166 and Mt. Pleasant finished with 184 for third.
Fort Madison ended with a 188 and Keokuk 208.
Leading the Demons on the day was Rajan Roth with a medalist 33.
Roman Roth followed one stroke behind with a 34. Both Drew Conrad and Luke Beenblossom shot a 39. Teague Mayer ended with a 45 and Isaac Vetter carded a 48.
For Fairfield, Austin Lisk lead the way with a 39.
Dev Eisner ended with a 41, Landon Nodurft shot a 42, Max Weaton had 44, Sam Weaton a 47 and Archer Kreuter 50.
Mt. Pleasant was paced by Nick Matheney in the meet. Matheney shot a 40 to lead the Panthers.
Reece Coffman ended with a 43 and Nate Dismang shot a 46. Izaac Zihlman and Ben Meador both ended with 55. Jason Rich shot a 60.
The boys will be back on the course on Thursday in Fort Madison.
