The Washington junior varsity boys? basketball team held off Fort Madison for a 52-49 win on Monday night.

The Washington junior varsity boys? basketball team held off Fort Madison for a 52-49 win on Monday night.
Sophomore Blake Weidman went 12-for-18 from the free throw line and scored 15 points to lead the Demons (7-1, 3-0 Southeast Conference). He also pulled down six rebounds. Junior Mason Quigley added 12 points, five assists and two blocked shots. Junior Noah Lebsack and sophomore Gage Redlinger scored eight points apiece, and Lebsack also had seven rebounds and four assists. Junior Brett Wright had four points to go with eight rebounds. Junior Elijah Wood chipped in three points, and sophomore Isaiah Zuehlke had two.
?This was our best team effort of the year,? Washington head coach Nathan Miller said.
