After a windy and chilly home girls golf meet Monday, Tuesday presented a perfect evening of weather for the Demons at Washington Golf and Country Club.

Knutson birdied the par-4 first hole and parred No. 7 and No. 8. He did not have a double bogey in his round. Brock Sobaski had five pars, three bogeys and a triple. Tanner had five pars, two double bogeys and two bogeys.
'Our guys each battled through adversity throughout their rounds, playing through mistakes, focusing on the next shot,” Stark said. ' I am proud of our guys continuing to focus on the process and we are seeing improvements day by day.”
The Demons play next Saturday at home.
Md-Prairie takes 3rd, Columbus 8th
The Mid-Prairie boys golf team was third at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Durant at the Wahkonsa Golf Club.
West Branch led the way with a 317. Wilton just edged Mid-Prairie by a stroke for runner-up with a 333. The Golden Hawks posted a 334 in their first 18-hole invitational of the season.
'I was pleased with our 334,” MP coach Kelby Bender said. 'I thought they took advantage of the great weather and course conditions. They come out and played well. The four that scored played really consistent, with each shooting no more than two strokes different from the front nine to the back nine.”
Noah Schlabaugh ledMP and took third in the individual race with rounds of 39 and 38 for a 5-over par 77. His round was really steady with 13 pars and five bogeys. MP teammate Ryan Smit played consistent, shooting an 84 after rounds of 43 and 41. Smit's round was highlighted with a birdie 2 on the par-3 12th hole. Monte Slabaugh's round was almost a mirror image to Smit's as he also shot an 84 with rounds of 41 and 43. Rounding out the scoring was Chaz Patterson shooting 44-45 for an 89. His round was highlighted with a birdie 3 on the par-4 sixth hole.
'A couple of bad breaks and a cold putter kept Noah from really going low,” Bender said.
