Two Washington seniors showed their talents on the field last week at the UNI-Dome.
Seniors Theresa Anders and Alexey England were a part of the Iowa Cheer Honor Squad, which was hosted in Cedar Falls on Nov. 23.
The pair of Washington cheerleaders practiced for nearly 15 hours ahead of the event, learning a five-minute routine that included dancing, cheering and stunting.
The routine was then performed at halftime of the Class 1A and Class 2A football championship games, and the pair were a part of more than 230 cheerleaders.
To be eligible for the event, girls had to be junior or senior varsity cheerleaders and chosen by their coaches.
Pictured are the two cheerleaders with their honor cheer medals on the left, while the two girls are in action in the right photo.
