Washington girls soccer showcased some offensive prowess and defense resilience on Monday night with a stellar 4-0 win over Keokuk.
The Demons were relentless throughout the match, recording 35 shots with 18 heading toward goal.
Washington scored a pair of goals in each half.
Senior Ana Mata led Washington, contributing to three of the team’s four goals, ending with a goal and two assists.
Junior Angeline Anderson also made an impact, netting a goal and dishing out one assist. Luna Cuevas assisted as well. Maya Murphy rounded out the scoring with a goal and an assist as well.
The Demons’ defense was excellent. They allowed just two shots to the Chiefs and neither were on target.
Katherine Flannery notched two saves in the win.
