?Keokuk won, but they didn?t trounce us like they have in years past,? he said.
The Demons lost to the Chiefs by scores of 13-5 and 9-2 last season, and Keokuk won in Washington 4-0 earlier this season.
The Chiefs (5-4, 4-2) scored a pair of goals in the first half and another early in the second half. Freshman Christian Mejia scored Washington?s lone goal.
?We had a number of chances that bounced out instead of in,? Caulk said. ?That game could have been 3-2 or 3-3.?
Washington (2-6, 1-4 Southeast Conference) travels to the Mid-Prairie tournament tomorrow at noon. Then the Demons will host Fort Madison next Monday and Mt. Pleasant next Thursday in Southeast Conference matches.
